Desk: By default, "Desk" is the home page, and what you see is what you get . Users can see the selected books on their desks at the first time. Users are limited when adding books to the desk, and can only add up to 3 books to the desk.
Reason: I think this is a product design based on the real life scenarios of users, which reflects the product thinking of "restraint".
The so-called "desk", the core lies in "books", not in other, there should not be too many books on the desk, otherwise users will fall into Buy email list confusion and confusion, increase decision-making costs, and do not know which book to choose to read better.
So, this is not the quantity of books the better, but the quality. I don't give users the right to choose and let them add books to the desk at will, but limit the rights of users, so that the books displayed on the desk are classic books. This can also avoid reading every book on the desk but not finishing it, which greatly reduces the effectiveness and meaning of reading.
Classification: Using a card-style design that combines pictures and texts, the books are classified according to their fields, which is convenient for users to find books according to their areas of interest.
At the same time, I personally feel that the design method of simulating a physical bookshelf is adopted here, allowing users to have an immersive experience.
In addition, books adopt a fuzzy classification standard, that is, a book may appear in multiple different categories at the same time. This multi-dimensional classification standard expands the user's thinking on the one hand, allowing users to interpret the content from multiple levels and angles; On the other hand, it is also convenient for users to have an expectation of the general content of the book before official reading.
Disadvantages: The categories are still enough, but the book resources are not rich enough.
